Situk info

Would like to make my next trip to Ak a Situk R trip. Want to target Steelhead. We flyfish 90% of the time, and almost exclusively when steelheading. I have had some problem with up to date reliable info. Can some one out there suggest a guide or two, lodging, and if they have fished steelhead on the Situk whether they prefer fall or spring. I have heard from some, many baitfish for steelhead even though it is an artificials only season.

Help,, this seems like a magical place but good info is hard to come by. Maybe thats why it remains so good????

BAIT is not legal on the Situk ever. And it is single hooks only

I would try the spring run first. The fall run is very small and the weather is miserable.

I tried last year for ther first time on situk and first time steelhead. I caught a few on glow bugs but it was not real productive for a new comer like me.

i was wondering also what would be best lure or bait if that is leagal
