Hi, myself and three others will be arriving on the 15th of Sept. From
Tahlequah, Oklahoma. We plan to fish the Situk, Lost, and Italio rivers. We appreciate the fish reports .
See you on the 15th, I suppose we will be odd fellows since we are all spin fishermen. Sam

Bring a medium weight rod with 10lb test, The best spinners are the blue fox in size 3 and 4, mostly 4's. all different colors but my favorite is the #4 purple body with a red blade. We were on the Italio two weeks ago and did quite well, Try to hook up with Bob from the fly shop and his fishing partner in Italio river adventures Pat Robbins. If you really want a great trip with all the amenities and first class service next time stay with them at the Italio camp. The cost is reasonable with everything provided including food, warm cabins, hot showers and a place to freeze your fish. Definitley a first class fish camp. I would know as I have been there 7 times now in the last six years.
I started out as a spin fisherman only and Bob continued to coerce me into the fly rod. Now he laughs because I only use a 4 weght rod with a small reel but I still manage to catch as many as I like up to 16 plus pounds.
I talked with Pat Robbins on friday he said thousands of silvers are in the river and nobody fishing. My best word of advice is if you have never been there bring very good chest waders and the best heavy duty rain coat available. NOTHING light weight you'll just end up miserable. And pack everything in waterproof luggage bags.

Thanks for the info. We fished the Situk with very good success and th Lost withnone the best was the Italio. We flew out twice and caught our limit of large Silvers each day. I will be back to the Italio for sure this year. The Blue fox was the right lure. Thanks again.
